
According to statistics released by the Manitowoc County Health Department, young people are contracting COVID-19 at a higher rate that other age groups, but not by much.
As of yesterday’s report, the 26-35 year old age group accounts for roughly 55 of the 257 total cases, but the 18-25 year old age group, and the two groups comprising those aged 46-65 account for between 41 and 45 cases each.
Only 2 more cases were reported yesterday, along with 2 more recoveries. The pandemic long total of negative tests is approaching 9,000 with five more reported yesterday.
In Sheboygan County, 90 more cases were confirmed. While that is an alarmingly high number, it must be noted, that number includes all new cases from over the weekend as well. Also, an additional 1,367 negative tests came back, as well 17 more recoveries.
Their pandemic long totals are now 566 confirmed cases, 192 of which remain active, and 18,422 negative tests.
