A double by Eric Sogard in the 11th inning gave the Milwaukee Brewers a 6-5 win at Pittsburgh Monday.
The Brewers were down by a 5-1 score entering the ninth inning, but the Pirate bullpen couldn’t protect the lead.
Ryan Braun’s two-run double with two outs tied the score in the ninth. Sogard’s hard-hit line drive down the left-field line knocked in Brock Holt with the winning run.
David Phelps fanned Pittsburgh’s Bryan Reynolds with a man on third to protect the lead and pick up his first victory.
The game was delayed an hour and 42 minutes by rain.
33-year-old Josh Lindblom will make the second major league start of his career against his former Pirates team tonight (Tuesday).
