Health officials continue to encourage people to follow social distancing guidelines, while also wearing a protective face mask to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
We spoke with 6th District Congressman Glen Grothman on Friday, who voiced his feelings on masks. He told SeehaferNews.com, “When I get around the 6th Congressional District, I always feel pretty safe to be honest. I have no problem walking down the streets of Manitowoc without a mask.”
That being said, he is a proponent of social distancing. “I think right now, the important thing is to social distance, particularly when you are indoors,” Grothman said. “Don’t gather too tightly together, and I think we can work our way through it.”
The Glenbeulah native said he was going to be in a parade this past weekend, and did not plan on wearing a mask. In fact he said “I don’t think anybody will be.”
