
In Shoreland League Baseball last night, Luke Mandich tossed a complete-game 3-hitter and he was backed by a potent offense last night as the Manitowoc Bandits blanked the Algoma Guins 8-0 on the road.
It marked the 7th consecutive win for the Bandits, who extended their record to 10-2 overall, 7-0 in the Shoreland League.
Mandich struck out 11 Algoma batters in moving his season record to 4-0.
Jake Woolsey slammed a 3-run homer in the 7th during a 4-run rally that put it away.
Leadoff man Ben Coons reached base 4-times on 2-hits and 2-walks while adding 3-runs scored & 3-stolen bases.
AJ Dollinger also drove in 2-runs for Coach Chris Cisler’s ball club.
Guins starter Justin Alexander took the loss.
The Bandits will host the Denmark DevilBears Monday night at Municipal Field as the regular season nears an end.
