Milwaukee paramedics performed advanced life-saving measures Tuesday night, but a two-year-old girl still died of a gunshot wound.
Police haven’t said where the gunfire came from or who fired the shots, but a 24-year-old Milwaukee woman was taken into custody.
Her name hasn’t been released.
Investigators say they are searching for several other persons of interest.
The Milwaukee Fire Department medical team was called to the scene at 7:23 p-m.
The child died before she could be taken to a hospital.
The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office is doing the autopsy.
