The attorney for Milwaukee Police Chief Alfonso Morales says he’s worried his client is being set up to be fired.
The Fire and Police Commission has given Morales a list of 11 changes that need to be made.
Attorney Frank Gimbel says Morales will try to meet the commission’s requests, but he will need more time.
Right now, the chief is supposed to supply the requested information in the next two weeks or so.
He is asking for the deadline to be extended to August 28th.
Morales was chosen to take the place of Chief Edward Flynn in 2018 and he was given a four-year contract extension last December.
