Many small businesses in the area have been struggling due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but several in Two Rivers have received financial help thanks to the Small Business COVID-19 Relief Fund.
According to a report from City Manager Greg Buckley, 38 small businesses in the city received a total of just shy of $100,000 in relief in the first round of awards.
The City of Two Rivers contributed over $75,000, The West Foundation donated $12,500, and funds donated privately totaled just shy of $10,000.
The second round has now opened up for not-for-profit organizations, with roughly $80,000 available.
