The 17-year-old former Oshkosh West High School student accused of trying to kill a school resource officer has entered a not guilty plea.
Grant Fuhrman appeared in Winnebago County Court Monday.
He faces a charge of attempted first-degree intentional homicide for using a barbecue fork to stab Officer Michael Wissink in the neck December 3rd.
He said he wanted the officer’s gun, but he hasn’t said what he wanted to do with it.
Fuhrman told investigators he didn’t expect Wissink to fight back, but instead, they started wrestling and the teen was shot.
Fuhrman’s trial date is in late October.
