The Wisconsin Department of Justice will investigate an officer-involved shooting in Walworth County.
Whitewater police were called Sunday night about a 32-year-old man who had threatened to kill his ex-wife and himself.
They weren’t able to find him.
Early Monday the woman called 9-1-1 to report he had broken into her apartment. She hid, so he left.
Officers found him about two hours later and the man was shot when he reportedly pointed a handgun at the officers.
His name hasn’t been released, but he is expected to survive.
