A couple of Sheboygan County emergency crews are diving into some new training.
The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department and City of Sheboygan Fire Department have teamed up with Ocean Rescue Systems of Portland, Maine to undergo four days of surf rescue training.
The training comes shortly after two stories of people struggling in the water came to light. One 12 year old boy was saved in Sheboygan, but a 19 year old man in Milwaukee County was not as lucky. He drowned trying to save two children who were struggling to stay afloat.
The training began yesterday, and will continue through Thursday.
