Football and basketball teams always in the battle for a conference title, women’s hockey and volleyball playing in national title games – success on the field has improved the University of Wisconsin bank accounts.
U-S-A Today reports over the last five seasons the U-W athletics department ranks fourth in the Big Ten Conference for revenue.
Ohio State is at the top, followed by Michigan and Penn State.
The school’s revenue was up by nearly $34 million during the 2018-2019 school team, reaching an all-time high of more than $157 million. That’s good for 11th in the nation.
