Menomonie Wisconsin native Nate Stanley signed a four-year N-F-L rookie contract this week with the Vikings.
The deal is non-guaranteed other than a signing bonus.
Minnesota selected the former Iowa Hawkeye quarterback in the seventh round of this year’s draft.
Stanley is competing with journeyman Sean Mannion and practice squad Q-B Jake Browning to be Kirk Cousin’s back-up.
Stanley started the past three seasons at Iowa and is number two all-time in program history for passing yards and touchdowns. He also threw for more than 3,600 yards and 36 T-Ds at Menomonie High School.
