Milwaukee Brewers manager Craig Counsell says he and his staff aren’t worried about the quiet start to summer camp for outfielder Christian Yelich.
The superstar struck out three times against Milwaukee ace Brandon Woodruff on Tuesday night, then, went 0-2 with another K against Corbin Burnes last night.
Counsell says “There are no concerns. this is how you get locked-in. You have to go through this stuff, and sometimes it takes 15 or 20 at-bats until you get it going.”
The Brewers scratched second baseman Keston Hiura from Wednesday’s intrasquad lineup due to what was termed right arm fatigue, before cutting-short pitcher Brett Anderson’s start because of a blister.
Game-3 of the Blue-Gold World Series is set for Miller Park tonight at 6:30.
