Milwaukee Police Chief Alfonso Morales says an officer who suffered a leg wound last (Tuesday) night is expected to survive.
The officer’s name hasn’t been released.
Investigators say he was wounded in a shooting incident at about 10:25 p-m near Carver Park on the city’s northwest side.
Witnesses say another car was stopped at the location, but no arrests have been officially announced.
Police haven’t said what led up to the shooting.
