Wisconsin Badgers linebacker Jack Sanborn has been notified he is on the watch list for this year’s Chuck Bednarik Award.
That honor goes to the outstanding defensive player in college football each season.
Sanborn was Wisconsin’s leading tackler last year while producing 5.5 sacks, three interceptions, a forced fumble and three passes defended.
He is one of seven Big Ten defenders on the watch list this time.
Ohio State’s Chase Young won the Bednarik award last season.
