The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department was involved in a high speed chase which was going the wrong way on I-43.
Department reports indicate that they received a report that a vehicle was traveling south in the Northbound lanes of the highway between Oostburg and Cedar Grove. When officers approached the driver, he took off, reaching speeds of over 100 miles per hour.
Numerous vehicles were forced off the road during the chase with at least one sustaining damage, however no injuries were reported.
The driver passed over the county line into Ozaukee County, and ended up in the ditch south of Belgium.
The unnamed driver was arrested for OWI, Fleeing, and Reckless Endangerment.
