COVID-19 has affected many areas of life in America, and that includes air conditioning. Jeff Korinek, the service manager for Schaus Mechanical in Manitowoc, tells SeehaferNews.com, “There’s a shortage of central air conditioning systems.” Korinek explains that all major manufacturers are having difficulty keeping up with demand during this summer heat.
He blamed COVID-19 for causing issues in the trucking industry, saying “Transportation is backed up and the channels are slow.” The impact on inventories, he says, is very evident. “If we have an order for 30 units we might get 10,” he explained. “If we have another order in for 40 units we might get 15. Our inventory is low, but we are working through it.” He also said his competitors are experiencing the same thing.
Korinek stated, should there be a repair issue for air conditioning Schaus Mechanical has 24/7 after hours service, if necessary by calling 684-5559.
