Businesses in the Sheboygan area say they will miss the additional dollars having the Ryder Cup played at Whistling Straits would have meant to their bottom lines, but they’re actually okay that it has been postponed to next year.
Many of them say that’s a much better choice than holding the U-S versus Europe golfing showdown without fans.
Most locals had already assumed the coronavirus pandemic would mean the tournament was going to be called off.
The Ryder Cup competition is now set to start September 21st, 2021 at Whistling Straits. One hotel says it’s already getting dozens of calls of guests wanting to move their reservations to next year.
