This Saturday, Lakeshore’s United Visionaries, or LUV is holding an event to help bring the community together.
LUV is a recently created organization in Manitowoc County that helps promote racial equality. This gathering is being presented as a chance to share ideas and learn about the future projects of the LUV organization.
Aaron Bailey, a Vice-President at LUV, was asked if he has any advice on how to handle a situation of racism at a public or private gathering, and he advised not to make a scene. “Less is more when dealing with ignorance,” Aaron said. “Just let them know that it is offensive for some people…If you can’t help them, hopefully somebody will.”
Organizers say, everyone is welcome to this gathering. Grow It Forward will be hosting the event at 1501 Marshall Street in Manitowoc from noon until 3.
