Assembly Speaker Robin Vos says Wisconsin doesn’t need a statewide face mask mandate.
The Republican legislative leader feels any response to coronavirus outbreaks should come at the local level. He says he thinks people will do “what’s right.”
Vos rejects claims by Governor Evers that the Wisconsin Supreme Court endangered the public by ending the Safer at Home order.
He says the court followed the Constitution and the law.
Vos says he does support local city governments instituting their own mask mandates – like the one being considered in Milwaukee.
