The Milwaukee Brewers have reportedly reached agreement on a deal with number-one draft pick Garrett Mitchell.
S-B Nation beat writer Brad Ford reports he spotted a social media post saying Mitchell was on a flight to Milwaukee, apparently so he could sign a contract. Mitchell’s signing bonus is said to be near the slot value.
The next decision by the Brewers will be whether to put the former U-C-L-A star on their 60-player pool to get him some work this summer or let him stay at home because his diabetic condition makes him a high risk for COVID-19.
