
The Two Rivers Fire Department responded to and extinguished a fire in the attic of a residence late last week.
According to a news release, the fire in the 1700 block of 18th street was called into the TRFD at 4:15 AM on Friday, and within minutes had it under control. The two families who occupied the residence were evacuated by the time the fire department arrived, and no injuries were reported.
The blaze was reportedly caused by electrical wiring in the attic, and caused an estimated $30,000 in smoke, fire, and water damage to the second floor and attic, and water damage to the first floor.
