The 49-year-old man who was shot by a Chippewa County deputy during an incident last year has pleaded guilty to a charge of making terrorist threats.
Christopher Knyphausen entered the guilty plea Thursday and was sentenced to spend four years in a mental health facility.
Knyphausen was in the Indianhead Motel in Chippewa Falls when he called 9-1-1 to tell officers he knew they were looking for him and he had a gun.
The district attorney determined Deputy Adam Prorok was justified when he shot Knyphausen last August.
