A Racine County Circuit judge has ruled the city’s coronavirus ordinance is unconstitutional.
Judge Jon Fredrickson determined the plan violates Wisconsin’s Constitution because it interferes with the right to assemble. Fredrickson says it is written too broadly.
Racine Mayor Cory Mason has called the decision “irresponsible,” saying the city is seeking a stay.
The owner of a fitness gym filed the lawsuit, saying the ordinance threatened his business.
