The N-F-L is eliminating two of the four preseason games for the Packers and the rest of the league.
E-S-P-N is reporting the move comes in response to the risk factors associated with the coronavirus pandemic.
Games scheduled for the first and fourth weeks of the preseason are eliminated, with some shuffling around done so each team has one home game and one road game. This means the Packers will host the Cleveland Browns August 22nd and on the road to take on the New York Giants August 29th.
Training camp is tentatively scheduled to be held starting July 28th at Lambeau Field.
In other Packers news, the organization has finalized contract agreements with their top two draft picks.
Second rounder A-J Dillon was the first to reach an agreement on a four-year deal. The 247-pound rookie is expected to add a dimension to an already-strong group of running backs.
Later Tuesday, first-round pick Jordan Love, signed a four-year deal worth a little over $12 million.
Only three draft picks aren’t signed so far – Josiah Deguara, Kamal Martin and Jake Hanson.
