Very warm temperatures and concrete roads aren’t always compatible.
The State Department of Transportation was notified early last evening of a pavement buckle for the 2nd straight day on State Highway 42 near Two Rivers.
The right lane of southbound traffic on 42, at Thiede Road, was closed due to buckling pavement.
The Manitowoc County Highway Department was called just after 6:30 PM to repair the troublespot and reports showed ‘that’ portion of the traffic lane was reopened by 8:00 PM.
