Wauwatosa Police To Start Wearing Body Cams

A Wauwatosa City Council panel has approved a plan to buy body cameras for police officers in the next six months.  All city police officers would be required to wear the cameras by the end of the year.  The decision follows three police-involved shootings in the last four years.  The officer involved has been cleared in two of the cases and is waiting for the investigation into the third to be completed.  Community activists say the body cameras have been needed in Wauwatosa for a long time.
