Sports Illustrated is pointing to former Packers coach Mike McCarthy as its odds-on favorite to be N-F-L Coach of the Year.
SI.com writer Albert Breer calls McCarthy a really good coach who has a good veteran staff. He says the Dallas Cowboys roster has enough talent to win the 12 games it would take for McCarthy to win the honor.
Breer says coaches like Sean Payton and John Harbaugh are great, but their teams would need to get close to a 16-0 record for one of those two coaches to take the award.
