
The man who was arrested after throwing tear gas back at Green Bay Police Officers during a violent protest has been officially charged.
26 year Old Dakota Vandertie was identified after video surveillance of the protest was looked over, and showed Vandertie throwing the tear gas.
While in court, he stated, “Really, I just got caught up as others were rowdy and so I became rowdy. I (expletive) up and should not have done what I did.”
The protests occurred on March 31st following the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis. Vandertie is now facing charges of Misdemeanor Obstructing an Officer and Disorderly Conduct, which he pleaded not guilty to.
