
The Milwaukee Brewers and the rest of Major League Baseball will return to action with an abbreviated spring training next month, then start the season July 24th.
The players’ union had rejected the latest offer from the owners Monday by a 33-to-five vote.
That’s when Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred stepped in and issued a unilateral order for the regular season to start.
That is expected to lead to lengthy and costly litigation over the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
