Two Appleton residents are being assisted by the American Red Cross in finding a new place to stay after their home caught fire over the weekend.
Fire crews were sent to the home in the 600 block of West Eighth Street on Saturday just before noon.
Crews determined that the fire started due to a pan filled with grease being left unattended on the stove.
No injuries were reported, but the home is now unlivable.
The Appleton Fire Department estimates the home sustained roughly $10,000 worth of damages.
