The Green Bay Packers could operate with a much-bigger practice squad this season.
The N-F-L is reportedly discussing an increase in the number of players from 12 to 16.
The players association would have to agree, but since that means an additional 128 players, the union is likely to sign off on it.
The Packers had 10 players on the practice squad last season, but the league had already bumped that up to 12.
This gives coach Mike LaFleur’s staff more developmental time within the team structure for the younger Packer players.
