A countywide tribute is taking place in Manitowoc County for the late Allen Geimer today.
All county flags will be flown at half-staff, the day of his funeral at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church in Two Rivers.
The order from County Executive Bob Ziegelbauer is in honor of Geimer’s service as a former county board supervisor.
He died last Saturday at the age of 85 after a very successful career as a civilian and a distinguished role in the military, where he was awarded two Purple Hearts.
