The Manitowoc County Board held its’ monthly meeting earlier this week.
Chairman Jim Brey told SeehaferNews.com that they met in person at the County Expo Grounds in the Merchants Building. Brey explained that supervisor Kevin Behnke, a member of the Expo/Ice Center Board, gave a report on why the 2020 Manitowoc County Fair was canceled.
Looking ahead to their July 21st meeting, the board chair said they’ll hear about the county’s finances from County Executive Bob Ziegelbauer, as well as COVID-19’s impact locally from Emergency Management’s Travis Waack & Public Health Director Mary Hallada, and receive “an update on what they have been doing to help stop it…I’m looking forward to that next month,” Brey said.
Brey also brightened the spirits of his fellow county supervisors at Tuesday night’s meeting with a special treat during June Dairy Month: cups of ice cream made here in Manitowoc County at Cedar Crest.
