Packer fans may remember Samkon Gado as a breakout star at running back for the team 15 years ago, but his career has gone in a whole new direction since his playing time ended.
In 2005 Gado was working at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay during his off-time.
He wanted to return to Nigeria full-time once his residency ended, but the coronavirus pandemic has changed that.
Gado was planning to be a general surgeon and he plans to return to that field when it’s possible.
For now, his time and attention are focused on helping people dealing with COVID-19.
