The N-C-A-A has approved a waiver for transfer guard D-J Carton.
That means the former Ohio State Buckeye will be able to play immediately for Marquette and Carton will have three seasons of eligibility remaining.
Carton started three of the 20 games he played for Ohio State, averaging 10 points, almost three rebounds and three assists-a-game.
If he is able to take over as point guard for the Golden Eagles, it will help the team’s freshman inside players get going in Division One basketball a lot faster.
Four of the 10 players on the Marquette roster for the coming season have never played a minute at the highest level of college basketball.
