
A Green Bay man, who was already facing charges in a child sex case, is now also facing additional charges after he allegedly attempted to hire a hitman.
Laene Piontek was arrested on the child sex charges on June 14th, and while in the Brown County Jail, asked his cellmate to kill a couple of witnesses in his case.
Piontek told the unnamed man that he would pay him a total of $20,000 to do the job, and provided him with a map to the home of the witnesses and a detailed description of them.
Piontek is now being held on an additional $100,000 cash bond, on top of the $50,000cash bond in his first case.
He is facing, in total, two felony counts of Solicitation of First Degree Intentional Homicide, 1st Degree Sexual Assault of a Child Under Age 12 and Repeated Acts of Sexual Assault of a Child.
