The Green Bay Board of Education is expected to hold a special meeting in the coming weeks to discuss allowing gymnasiums at district high schools to be used as polling locations.
School officials say they are focused on keeping students, faculty and staff members safe. Mayor Eric Genrich talked to school board members Monday about the August primary election which is seven weeks off.
East and West high schools were used for the April elections.
School board member Andrew Becker says he would like to know the city has at least 10 additional polling locations secured before approving the plan for August and November.
