
The Manitowoc City Council has a vacancy to fill after Alderman Todd Lotz announced his resignation in the 7th district, which is on the southside.
Deputy City Clerk Mackenzie Reed Kadow says qualified applicants are being sought to fill the opening on the Common Council, to be elected at their next meeting on July 20th.
The person chosen to replace Alderman Lotz would serve for the term ending April 19th, 2021.
Those interested in filling the vacant seat must be qualified electors of the 7th district, which is an area bounded by Hamilton Street on the north, South 14th/’16th Streets on the east, Viebahn on the south and South 23rd/’26th Streets on the west.
Qualified people should submit a letter of interest, accompanied by a resume no later than July 15th at noon to City Clerk Deborah Neuser at 900 Quay Street, Manitowoc.
Those interested in becoming the new alderperson may be asked to give a brief presentation to the Council prior to the election on Monday, the 20th.
