An 18 year old man was arrested early Tuesday morning after he fled from officers.
At around 2:15 a.m., officers heard an argument going on between a man and a woman near the Pizza Hut on Washington Street. When they arrived to investigate, two men flipped them off and yelled obscenities at the officers before fleeing on foot. Both men were eventually captured, but not until after the 18 year old threw a backpack at one of the officers.
While the officers attempted to place handcuffs on the man, he continued to struggle with the officers, and cursed at them.
While in the interview room at the Manitowoc Police Department, the man continued to berate the officers, and refused to comply with orders, to the point where the officers had to place him in a restrainment seat.
According to the police report, the man also told the officers that if he caught them in the street he would mess them up.
He is now facing charges of Obstructing an Officer, Resisting an Officer, Threats to Law Enforcement, and Misdemeanor Bail Jumping.
