A 32-year old Manitowoc man died & three others were injured in a two-vehicle crash in Wood County yesterday.
According to sheriff’s officials, the local victim was in the front passenger seat of a car when it was struck by a dump truck, whose driver failed to yield at the intersection of State Highways 73 & 186.
The Manitowoc male was pronounced dead at the scene in Wood County, while the female driver and a child sustained serious injuries & had to be extracted from the wreckage. They were both transported to Marshfield Medical Center for treatment.
A Wisconsin Rapids man who was operating the dump truck received only minor injuries. The crash shut down Highway 73 for several hours Sunday.
The accident remains under investigation and names of those involved are not expected to be revealed until this evening.
