The Manitowoc Bandits Baseball team has started their season off with both a win and a loss after a weekend double header at Municipal Field.
The Bandits started Military Appreciation Day against the Sheboygan A’s, and fell 5-0.
They didn’t have much time to sulk however, as the Branch Blaze then took over the guest dugout for game two of the day. This matchup went much better for the Bandits, as they were able to combine some powerful offence with a stifling defense to win 10-2.
The Blaze do have a chance at redemption rather quickly as they two teams are scheduled to square off this Wednesday at Fireman’s Park in Branch. First pitch is scheduled for 6:00 PM.
