It’s Military Appreciation Day at Manitowoc’s Municipal Field as the Bandits play a doubleheader to officially open their 2020 season. The Bandits host the Sheboygan A’s this afternoon in a 4:00 pm start, followed by a ‘special military tribute’ at approximately 5:15.
Then, the ‘nightcap’ has Manitowoc and the Branch Blaze at around 5:30.
There is free admission to the baseball twinbill and, a free brat or hot dog and drink are offered for Veterans and Military Personnel, sponsored by Novak’s Service Center.
Attendees are also encouraged to bring ‘care package’ items to ship to U.S. Troops overseas.
