A search committee meets this (Friday) afternoon in closed session to decide whether it will recommend the hiring of Jim Johnson to be the new U-W System president.
Johnson is currently the president of the University of Alaska System and has been extensively interviewed this week in Madison.
The committee advance Johnson as the only finalist for the job after other candidates had dropped out.
Committee Chairman Michael Grebe says that wasn’t troubling because Johnson was the leading choice of the members when the others withdrew their names.
