Farm Wisconsin Discovery Center is hosting a hands-on Farmer for a Day event on Saturday.
The whole family will find ways to connect their curiosity and discover what it means to be a modern farmer through diverse features and activities outside. Discover the inner workings of a tractor by checking the oil and tire pressure and getting an inside look at the machinery used to make our food.
Learn more about the care of dairy cows by finding the heart rate on a calf and identifying different types of feeds. Kids and adults alike will enjoy the outdoor petting zoo. Grab a scoop of Cedar Crest ice cream and enjoy a wagon ride.
The event will run from 10:00 to 2:00 PM on Saturday at the Center located on 7001 Gass Lake Road in Manitowoc.
