The Major League Baseball Players’ Association’s latest offer to owners would call for an 89-game season.
E-S-P-N reports the union wants fully prorated salaries and expanded playoffs.
Owners originally wanted a 50-game season with playoffs and players – trying to retain as much of their paychecks as possible – wanted a season of 114 games.
The latest offer would have the 2020 regular season starting July 10th and ending October 11th.
