It may be related to the COID-19 pandemic, but police in Appleton are not exactly positive why there has been an increase in drug overdose deaths in their city.
One report says that the Appleton Police Department has investigated nine overdose deaths since the beginning of April, and that doesn’t even account for the numerous times emergency personnel have used Narcan to revive someone who was suffering from an overdose.
While law enforcement will continue to track down and arrest drug dealers, it should be noted that anyone that goes to them for help with addiction will not face any charges.
