There will not be a Manitowoc County Fair this summer.
In a news release last night, the Manitowoc County Fair Board said they “made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 fair scheduled for August 26th through the 30th after closely monitoring COVID-19 data from local, state & federal Health officials the past three months.”
The statement indicated they made the decision for the “safety and well-being of our community, including the exhibitors, vendors, entertainers, suppliers and staff.”
While the County Fair is canceled for this year, the board’s determined that any youth exhibitor who is aging out of participation this year and is enrolled in a 2020 project will be eligible to participate in the 2021 fair within the same project areas.
Tickets purchased in advance are eligible for a full refund by contacting the Manitowoc County Expo Office, no later than July 31st.
They’re already planning for a “memorable 2021 County Fair set for August 25th-to-‘29th.”
