Record-setting running back Jonathan Taylor and three-time first-team All American Dana Rettke have been named the University of Wisconsin’s athletes of the year.
That means Taylor and Rettke are also officially nominated for the Big Ten Conference athlete of the year honors – which will be awarded Thursday.
Rettke is a six-foot-eight junior middle blocker who led the Badgers to the N-C-A-A volleyball championship game.
Taylor rushed for six-thousand-174 yards in three seasons with the Badgers – the highest three-season total for any Division One running back in history. He was taken in the second round of the 2020 N-F-L Draft last April by Indianapolis.
