Green Bay Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst says he expects the team’s future Hall of Fame quarterback to remain with the franchise for “quite a while.”
Gutekunst calls Aaron Rodgers “one of the best to ever lace them up,” saying the Packers are shooting for championships as long as Rodgers is in Green Bay.
Rodgers’ big salary counts nearly $40 million against the team’s salary cap after the 2021 season, so it could become a factor if his performance suffers.
They don’t really save much money against the cap until after the 2022 season.
